The Mountain
While this track signifies yang with its attribute, mountain, it also represents the ascension of the senior’s hallucinatory state, and acts as the transition from ‘buzzed’ to ‘high’. Halfway into the track, the acoustic guitar introduces the album’s leitmotif - A theme or musical statement that is associated with a particular idea. Rather than pitches, it is particularly the rhythm which is played that will recur in later songs.
While the bass drum emphasizes and loops this rhythm, the acoustic guitar, bass guitar and sitars accompany with an ascending melody using the same rhythm:
-Borjigin Chineeleg (Vocals)
-Keefer Schoon (Acoustic guitar, Bass guitar, Sitar, Percussion)
-Christos Theodore (Percussion)
